How long are treatment sessions?
Recommendations for treatment will depend on various factors as discussed during the initial evaluation. Treatment sessions are generally offered at 30-45-60 minute durations. Intensives may be offered upon availability.
How do I get started?
Please reach out via email or phone call to inquire about services and availability. Basic information will be collected and scheduling an evaluation is typically the first step. After the evaluation is completed, treatment may be offered based on recommendation. A physician's referral and pre-authorization may be required before starting treatment.
Can I use my insurance for therapy services?
We are currently in-network and accept BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem and Healthy Blue. Self-pay rates are also offered. You may also qualify for out-of-network coverage if your insurance is not listed above.
Where do you provide services?
Services are typically provided at the office location. For Early Steps clients ages birth-three years old, services are provided in the home or daycare setting.
What do you charge for services?
Service Fees will vary based on the format and type of service being delivered. Please email or call us for more information on service fees.
What type of payment do you take?
Payment is accepted via cash, check and all major credit cards through a secure payment processing system. We also accept HSA/FSA cards for payment of qualifying health-related services.
What does it mean to be a strengths-based provider?
The provider works to promote your child's interests, motivation, and natural learning process so that therapy doesn't feel like forced work, but rather something the child looks forward to. And the parent, too! We emphasize the child's abilities, capacity and knowledge in order to promote learning and fill the gaps.
What ages do you work with?
The provider works with all pediatrics ranging from birth to young adulthood.
What types of clients do you see?
Anyone needing support in developing communication. Below are some types of clients we have worked with:
- Children who are late talkers
- Children and young adults with autism and other related challenges
- Individuals with a stutter who get stuck in their speech
- Children who have difficulty knowing how to ask for help, make a request, ask/answer questions, invite friends to play, etc.
- Children who are born premature
- Children with genetic syndromes such as Down Syndrome, Russell Silver Syndrome, Angelmann Syndrome
- Children with Selective Mutism
- Individuals who have difficulty communicating due to visual and/or hearing impairments
- Children who mispronounce or misarticulate speech sounds
