Speech Language Pathologist (PT/FT)
Connectabilities Therapy Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join the team! Part-time and Full-time opportunities available. CFs welcome to apply. This position is for a clinic-based caseload primarily delivering 1:1 intervention with the option to add group interventions as desired. Caseload/workload balance will be worked into your schedule.

Duties:
- Conduct evaluations to assess patients' speech and language needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve their communication skills
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other related healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient records
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Louisiana state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders may be considered if pursuing SLP assistant license
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess or be interested in developing the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders
- Strong knowledge of various interventions and ability to make recommendations based on identified needs
- Ability to encourage caregiver involvement and introduce new concepts in an easily digestible manner
- Proficient in administering standardized assessments as well as dynamic assessment
- Proficient in writing goals and developing individualized treatment plans based on identified needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred skills:
- Experience or interest in developing person-centered treatment plans and taking a strengths-based approach to intervention.
- Experience working with Autism, ADD/ADHD and related neurodiversities
- Experience working with speech sound production
- Ability to deliver information to caregivers based on adult learning styles and preferences

Responsibilities:
- Assess client's occupational and functional needs to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to clients with various conditions, including sensory processing, executive function and/or social-emotional regulation needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech language pathologists and pediatricians, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate clients and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improving daily functioning
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and other related documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an occupational therapist in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in providing patient-centered care and utilizing evidence based practice
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to occupational therapy
- Experience or knowledge in working with pediatric patients
- Familiarity with the use of specialized equipment and assistive devices for therapeutic interventions
- Critical thinking skills to assess clients needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and educate patients
- Empathy and compassion to provide patient-centered care in support of well-being
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet goals in a private practice setting
